Important Notices
DBMS/OS requirements for v62a LeasePak/Oracle:
- LeasePak/Oracle/Linux : Oracle 11gR2, RHEL5
- LeasePak/Oracle/Solaris : Oracle 9iR2, Solaris 9
Oracle initialization parameters and several other aspects of Oracle have changed from Oracle 9iR2 to 11gR2. The SAG documents both Oracle 9iR2 on Solaris and Oracle 11gR2 on RHEL5. Make sure to use the Oracle SAG documentation corresponding to your OS version.
Upgrade mPower to JDK6 and Tomcat6
Beginning with LeasePak 6.2a, mPower is no longer backward compatible with versions of JDK prior to 1.6 or versions of Tomcat prior to 6.
Enhancement Summaries (MR 3)
- 527284 Credit Bureau Reporting Modifications for Lessee Information

This enhancement will enhances the LeasePak functionality of current credit bureau reporting that is generated by running the LeasePak utility 223 Metro2 Extract. The credit bureau reporting will now create multiple J2 records when multiple co-lessees exist on a single given lease. LeasePak will also keep track of any changes when lessee or co-lessees are added or removed from the lease so that the credit bureau reporting can properly report transfer of equity.
Metro2 extract utility will report the following:- Termination when lessee is removed from the lease.
- New lessee in the month after the termination of the lessee is reported.
- Current lessee’s payment history.
- Multiple J2 records when more than one co-lessee exists on the lease.
- Addition and deletion of co-lessees.
- 527313 Web Service: Check Disbursal

This enhancement provides LeasePak a new API Web Service method which automates the process of disbursing checks for the newly booked leases. This new web service allows the user to:
- Indicate that how much to disburse a check
- For how much to use the NEWD type.
- 528684 Vertex L Series Pre-Processor

This enhancement allows the user to identify and use a file from Vertex called STAXMAST with 800 bytes per line instead of the current file SEQEXP with 200 bytes per line. For prior versions of LeasePak, it will create a preprocessor script that will convert the STAXMAST file to SEQEXP file format by truncating the extra 600 bytes from each record.

Enhances the Invoice Detail for R0404 and R0909 so that the system adds a hyper link on these reports whenever Sales/Use Tax appears on these reports. Using this hyperlink, users can get a sales tax break out and itemize how much tax goes to each of the state, county, and city.
Also adds a new button on the current F5 XML-based lease summary screen for file attachments like the one currently given in the Collection tracking.

Provides the functionality of negative amortization for IBLs that uses the B method. Enhances to add the negative amortization for Method ‘B’ to include that the interest amount applied cannot be greater than the sum of the principle amount due plus the interest amount due when the principal amount due is negative.

Provides a new web service to automate the process of booking an asset or a lease. It allows the user to separate the process of booking assets and leases so that other processes may be done in between the two.

Enhances current LeasePak Utility “PTMS Extract” by adding new fields to the extract file that have not been included in the past. Also offers a new option to extract assets based on the asset acquisition date instead of the lease status and lease commencement date.

Requires the optional module. Provides a LeasePak Utility to extract information about all new bookings for a given date for the purpose of UCC /Title filings.
Enhancement Summaries (Beta 1)
- 517157 Multi Asset Maintenance Enhancement
- Requires the optional module. The Multi Asset Maintenance [U0230] update is enhanced to:
- Expand the number of asset update fields.
- Display the class of each asset in the asset grid.
- Process matured or paid off (but not sold) assets.
- Process application-side assets with an additional functionality to delete groups of assets from the application that are not in an approved (Axxx) status. This is an enhancement to the Application Tracking module.
- Process lease-side assest. This is an enhancement to the Multi Asset Maint. Update function of the 2001 JULE Fund module.
- Generate three reports. A validation report for the user to see which changes the program will make an exception report if validation fails, and an audit report showing successful changes.
The other related enhancements are 525452, 525165, and 521429. -
- 519332 Prepayment of Suspended and Matured Leases
- Provides functionality allowing the users to apply prepayments and create credit memos for 'N***' suspended earnings leases, matured 'N***' suspended earnings leases, and 'NMAT' matured leases. It also allows the users to put a lease with a credit memo into suspended earnings. The enhancement will support the Asset Focus Module but not the Cash Control module.
- 519333 Cash-Basis Extension for Suspended Earnings Leases
- Provides extension to matured leases in 'N***' suspended earnings statuses, using an 'RES' Residual extension with an '*RES' accrual method. Also allows the users to place in suspended earnings leases extended using a cash-basis 'RES' Residual extension with an '*RES' accrual method. The enhancement supports the Asset Focus Module. However, the Cash Control module and Interest Bearing Loans (IBLs) are not supported.
- 519345 Relationship Tree
- Requires the optional module. Provides a mechanism to explore the relationships between LeasePak clients, leases, and assets belonging to a specific customer in a directory–like sidebar (Relationship Tree) and allows the program to populate the LeasePak update or report selection criteria with the selected items in that tree.
- The users will not be able to view the relationship tree while working in any of the available tracking modules.
- The tree control can be set up through F4 Report Profile and U0706 Security update.
- 519358 OLB - payoff/termination
- Extends the Off Lease Billing module that:
- Allows recognition of all remaining income and residual reduction at the time a lease is paid off or terminated, even if the lease has been extended on a cash basis and has open receivables. It allows the lesser to recognize the remaining cash-basis income while still maintaining any open receivables.
- Allows payment reversals on payments made to paid off or terminated leases.
- 520481 Auto Payoff Using Suspense

Allows the Batch Payments program to create a batch payoff detail record using the suspense item created if it encounters certain exceptions while processing an 'A' method, 'RAX*' IBL batch payment.
The resultant batch payoff detail record is used by the Batch Payoff program to automatically payoff the affected IBL (interest bearing loan).
The new functionality is available to the users if the following LeasePak modules are purchased:- Cash Control

- 521429 Increase the UCC file number field length
- The UCC File Number field length is increased from 10 characters to 25 characters to meet the new file number standards. The other related enhancements are 517157 and 525165.
- 521697 Manual Assessment Limit
- Provides manual assessment limit edit check for Assessment [U0105] and Batch Assessments [U0418] similar to the manual assessment waiver limit edit checks available in the current LeasePak system.According to the new edit check, iIf the lifetime accumulation of manual assessment amounts of a particular assessment (charge type) for the lease or loan exceeds the user's manual assessment limit defined in the Security [U0706] update, the program will not allow the user to proceed with the new assessment.

- 522152 Modify Additional Depreciation Fields
- Requires the optional module. Enables the users to use the fields and functionality of Additional Deprecation Method 1 and Additional Depreciation Method 2 independent of the Vehicle Finance module. The Additional Depreciation Method 1 & 2 are now parts of the newly added Additional Depreciation Fields module. The behavior of these fields remain unchanged.
- 522557 Batch Payment Reversal Check Order
- The interactive Batch Payment Reversal [U0306] and EOP Batch Payment Reversal [U0470] updates are enhanced to resort the batch payment reversal order in order to process the newest payment effective date instance of a particular check number and to search all matching check numbers for a matching dollar amount, not just the first one.

The LeasePak Utility 220 is enhanced with an additional functionality to only clean up RTX records for leases that have been terminated or paid off prior to a given date.
- 525165 Redesign UCC Portion of Multi Asset Maintenance [U0230] Update

The Multi Asset Maintenance [U0230] update is enhanced to provide greater flexibility and accuracy in updating the UCC/Title Filing records across multiple assets.

- Allows the users to reverse lease accruals for multiple leases back to a given effective date using an input file and generate report files mentioning all the exceptions and processing results similar to Accrual Reversals [U0301] update.

- The Multi Asset Maintenance [U0230] update is enhanced to provide greater flexibility and accuracy in updating groups of assets. Also, the Reduce Residual to Zero (0) check box is removed because it is no longer required with the addition of the ability to update fields to zero or blank. The other related enhancements are 517157 and 525165.

- 525626 Lease Accrual Utility
- Allows the users to accrue multiple leases up to the current date using an input file (holding lease numbers to accrue) and generate report files mentioning all the exceptions and processing results similar to Accruals [U0301] update.
- 525986 Check Disbursal Extract Utility
- Creates an extract file (XML) of all pieces of information that appears on the Cashier's Check Register [U0117] including both checks and reversals for any checks that have been voided since they were initially disbursed.
- 526037 LP Utility to Generate Lease Level Forecasting Report
- Forecasting Report module users: Generates all forecasting reports for a given portfolio or all portfolios with output to a comma delimited csv file. Unlike the standard report files being produced by Forecasting Report [R0112] process, the utility will:
- Organize data by lease and output in a comma delimited csv file.
- Give each lease's information separately instead of summarizing the data at PCRO level.
- Give the exact number without rounding the dollar amount up to the thousand of dollars.
