Describes automatic payments, a feature that allows the user to set and use electronic payments via credit/debit card. Requires the Electronic A/R (ACH/PAP) module.
To use the functionality of electronic payments users must follow the follwoing setps to process automatic payments as batch of payment using credit/debit card.
Once credit card token ID is generated and stored, change to the (Payment Gateway Vendor (PGV) will no longer validate the generated token ID.
To use the functionality of Auto-Pay users must contact a merchant account provider (preferred payments gateway service) and setup an account that can be used to process credit/debit card payments.
Update each portfolio which is required to process electronic payments by credit/debit cards. Use LeasePak U0212 Portfolio→Auto-Pay Customizations and update the settings as per the requirements matching to users required business rules.
Use U0212 Portfolio→Miscellaneous Customizations to setup Currency Type Code that must be used by that portfolio.
Select Auto-Pay module to run during EOP from End of Period Customizations option of U0212 Portfolio.
Users must ensure that the lease(s) to process credit/debit card payments automatically or on demand must have entered credit/debit card information along with the electronic payments process turned on. Credit/Debit card details can be set through LeasePak U0244 Electronic Payment Source.
Once credit card is setup, the auto-pay can be scheduled through U0243 Automatic Payment Interval Schedule or directly through U0227 Automatic Payment Settings.
Use the gathered information from Preferred Payments gateway and enter that information into LeasePak through U0735 Electronic Payment Service Account.
NOTE: If you are using the HTTPS protocol, the root user on the Unix Application Server should create a symbolic link named /etc/netsol-cert.crt and point the link to the file of trusted certificates. The symbolic link is required for certificate verification of the Electronic Payment Service Account's website.
