LeasePak Server System Requirements

Machine and Operating System
  • Linux – Any Intel or AMD x86_64 computer
    RHEL 6.4 minimum, 64-bit
  • Memory – 2 GB RAM minimum, 3 GB or more recommended

  • Network card – Ethernet, token ring, etc.
  • Disk Space

    Breakdown of Disk Space Requirements for LeasePak Server Software: Total 4 GB minimum (approximate)

    1.4 GB LeasePak server program files
    300 MB LeasePak Queue Manager program files
    200 MB (minimum) /home partition (more for large numbers of LeasePak users
    1.2 GB (minimum) /tmp partition (more depending on needs)
    40 MB per concurrent lpadriver.exe connection (minimum 3 times physical memory) /swap partition
    LeasePak Server Software
    Linux
    • Software – LeasePak 7.6a for Linux
    • Queue Manager – Sector7 3.3.1 runtime license (provided with the LeasePak server software)
    Terminal Emulation

    LeasePak queue manager DCL commands (job and print queue management), as well as lease/util utilities, require one of the following terminal emulations:

    VT1xx DEC VT100
    VT2xx DEC VT200
    VT3xx DEC VT300
    VT4xx DEC VT400
    ANSI SCO ANSI Console
    AT386 Unix 5.4 Console
    WY60 Wyse 60
    XTERM X Terminals

    Information note:  NetSol recommends terminal emulators capable of displaying 132 columns for best results and prefers the use of VT type terminals. Set the TERM environment variable to one of the above terminal types before using LeasePak queue manager DCL commands or LeasePak utilities (lpadriver.exe). Use echo $TERM to verify the terminal type.
