Process Overview

When the User creates an "Activity Substatus" for total loss (for example, 'TLOS'), sets rules for 'TLOS' substatus and appropriate "Activity Status" combination(s) through U0709 Activity Status/Substatus, and then uses U0239 Credit Bureau Lease to set "Activity Substatus" to 'TLOS', LP and U0462 will implement the rules until the User clears or changes "Activity Substatus".

LeasePak User Process

To set up the process for implementing rules in case of total loss:

  • Use U0722 Custom Code to create a new code for "Code Category" 'ACTSUBSTAT' (Activity Substatus). For example:
    • "Code Value" 'TLOS', "Code Description" 'Total loss'
  • Use U0709 Activity Status/Substatus to create one or more "Activity Status"/"Activity Substatus" combinations, matching likely (according to your business practices) statuses to substatus 'TLOS'. For example:
    • Match 'ANOR' (Active Normal) to 'TLOS'
    • Match 'NSET' (Suspended Ins. Settlement) to 'TLOS'
  • For each combination, set the following rules under "Processing task":
    • Use D in CB Payment History Profile
    • Freeze CB Account Status and Payment Rating
    • Freeze CB Amount Past Due
    • Freeze CB Date of First Delinquency

To activate the U0709 Activity Status/Substatus rules:

  • Use interactive U0239 Credit Bureau Lease or third-party interface via API to set the "Activity Substatus" to 'TLOS'
