Asset Location [R1005]
The
Asset Location report [R1005] shows the physical location of the assets in the
portfolio. This location is the basis for sales/use tax calculations.
The
report may be accessed through the Asset report menu [R10] and
may be interactively selected for:
- All
states, counties and cities
- A
state
- A county
- A
city
Asset
Location Selection
- ALL
Enter X to report on all
states, counties and cities. Leave blank to report on assets in a specific state,
county and/or city.
- STATE
Enter the state code (the
2 letter post office abbreviation) upon which to report. Leave blank if reporting
on all states.
- COUNTY
Enter the county code (the
up-to-4 letter county abbreviation) upon which to report. Leave blank if reporting
on all counties and cities for a specific state.
Note: In order to handle county level taxes for Australian states, a standalone
conversion program is required.
- CITY
Enter the city code (the
up-to-4 letter city abbreviation) upon which to report. Leave blank if reporting
on all cities for a specific state and county.
Asset
Location Report

The
Asset Location report [R1005] reports at the asset level and provides the following
information:
- LEASE
The current lease number
is displayed for assets on lease. For ‘pre-inventory’ assets (assets which have
never been on lease), no lease number is displayed. For assets which have been
on lease but have moved off lease (i.e., through the Payoff or Termination options
of the Payoff update [U0103]), the last lease number of the asset is displayed.
- ASSET
The asset number is displayed.
- ST
The 2 letter abbreviation
of the asset’s state location is displayed. If applicable, the tax rate for this
state is used to calculate and assess use tax for the asset.
- COUNTY
The county location of the
asset is displayed. If applicable, the tax rate for this county is used to calculate
and assess use tax for the asset.
- CITY
The city location of the
asset is displayed. If applicable, the tax rate for this city is used to calculate
and assess use tax for the asset.
- EQUIPMENT
STATUS
The asset status
code is displayed. Refer to the Status Codes document for a list of asset
status codes and their meanings.
- ORIGINAL
COST
The acquisition
cost of the asset is displayed.
- DEPRECIATION
LTD BOOK
The life-to-date
book depreciation of the asset is displayed.
- BOOK
VALUE
The book value
of the asset is displayed. It is calculated as follows: ORIGINAL
COST
- DEPRECIATION LTD BOOK
- TOTALS
Page totals for the number
of assets and all dollar amounts are shown by office. Region,
company, portfolio and grand totals are shown for the number of assets and all
dollar amounts.
