Status Codes

LeasePak uses short codes to indicate the current status of leases and assets. Some codes initiate special actions by LeasePak, such as suspending the income earnings of a lease. Other codes are informational and may be used to create a more accurate picture of the status of the lease portfolio.

In the following sections is a list of the status codes and explanations for:

Lease

The following are lease status codes and accompanying explanations.

Asset

The following explains asset status codes. Each code is preceded with an N (new) or U (used). LeasePak assigns the N or U status code based upon the New/Used parameter set through the Add Asset option of the New Lease update [U0101]. Changes to the New/Used parameter may be made through the Asset update [U0210].

User Defined

The USER DEFINED STATUS code is an informational field. When an asset is added through the Add Asset update [U0101] this code is defaulted to ‘AINV’ (Available - inventory) and can be changed . When the asset is booked to a lease through Book Lease [U0101] it defaults to ‘NOLS’ (Not available - on lease). At the time the asset is paid off [U0103] the code will default to ‘NSLD’ (Not available - sold). This code may be changed through Asset Maintenance [U0210]. Any assets with status codes beginning with an ‘N’ cannot be booked to a lease.

Additional codes may be established through the Custom Codes update [U0722]. These codes must begin with an ‘A’ or ‘N’.
