The U0308 Vertex-O Journal Update processes RVS/RWS records within a given portfolio according to status by making an XML call to Vertex-O engine. The XML call is the Distribute Tax Request that tells Vertex-O not only the invoice amounts charged, but also the tax amount for each invoice line item. The Distribute Tax Request call then takes the line item tax amount and breaks it out by jurisdiction when writing it to the tax journal. Each call will have a transaction id assigned to it to monitor the transaction.
U0308 Vertex-O Journal module calls the Vertex-O server using an XML call and waits for the response. When the response is received, if it is true (successful) and Vertex has recorded the transaction in the tax journal, a record will be written to the lease level audit report for RVS and to the asset level audit report for RWS. The U0308 update will also update the RVS/RWS record statuses as completed and move the records to the RVH/RWH table. If the response is false (unsuccessful), a record will be written to the appropriate exception report for the lease or asset.
