This module completes the End of Period process by:
- Setting the next execution dates for all EOP groups which executed during this End of Period
- Unlocking updates to allow interactive data entry
- Executing the Collections module initialization program if all of the following are true:
- The Collections module is part of the user license
- The Collections module is not being skipped. Refer to the Module Customizations option of U1121 Collection Custom General for more information
While the Collection initialization program is executing, additional portfolios may not be submitted for End of Period. The Collection initialization program adds newly delinquent lessees to the Collections module, removes lessees which are no longer delinquent from the Collections module, and reassigns delinquent lessees to new collectors, if applicable.
Error messages are written to an exception file in the ERR directory. The file name has the following general format: lpu0449_jobstatus.rpt.If the Collections module is to be run during an End of Period, then U0411 Sequential Updates module should be executed for all portfolios. U0411 Sequential Updates determines if individual leases are delinquent. This information is subsequently used by the Collection initialization program in determining which lessees are delinquent.
Skip Comments: U0499 End of Period End may be skipped only if U0410 End of Period Start is also skipped, which in turn means skipping all of End of Period. If this module is skipped, updates are unlocked but the next execution dates are unchanged.
To skip execution of the Collections module after the Collection initialization program has already begun execution:
- Set SKIP COLLECTION MODULE DURING END OF PERIOD (Y/ N) parameter to Y in the Module Customizations option of U1121 Collection Custom General
- Use U0404 Halt/Restart/Skip to halt and restart U0499 End of Period End for the portfolio which is executing the Collection initialization program
