U0436 Auto Security Deposit Suspense Disbursal

Sequential Updates: This EOP module runs as part of U0411 Sequential Updates.

Cash Control: This EOP process works in conjunction with and requires the Cash Control optional license module.

Parameters for this EOP module are set in the U0212 Portfolio→Payoff Customizations fields:

• HOLDING SECURITY DEPOSIT IN PAYOFF/TERM (P/T/B/N)
• HOLDING PERIOD FOR SECURITY DEPOSIT DISBURSAL (DAYS)

And in the U0212 Portfolio→Module Customizations field:

• BANK FOR AUTOMATIC SECURITY DEPOSIT SUSPENSE DISBURSAL

If the setting for HOLDING SECURITY DEPOSIT IN PAYOFF/TERM is 'P' (create suspense for payoffs only), 'T' (create suspense for terminations only), or 'B' (create suspense for both payoffs and terminations), LeasePak will perform the following debit/credit:

And create a new suspense item using the batch and check number from the original security deposit payment. In the case where the lessee made more than one security deposit payment, LeasePak will create a separate suspense item corresponding to each original payment.

LeasePak will hold this suspense item until it has either been applied to outstanding invoices or the limit set in HOLDING PERIOD FOR SECURITY DEPOSIT DISBURSAL has expired. If the time limit expires and an amount remains in the security deposit suspense item, U0436 Auto Security Deposit Suspense Disbursal will do one of the following, based on the values of the Suspense Balance (security deposit suspense item balance) and the Security Deposit Refund (Security Deposit - Loss on Sale):

• If Suspense Balance <= Security Deposit Refund, issue a refund check

• If Suspense Balance > Security Deposit Refund, perform the following transaction

U0436 Auto Security Deposit Suspense Disbursal runs before U0117 Cashier's Check Disbursal, so security deposit amounts released for disbursal are ready when checks are run. Once a security deposit suspense item check is disbursed through U0117 Cashier's Check Disbursal, the amount cannot be reversed through U0102 Batch Number Payment Reversal.
