mPower Server: Tomcat Platform

Describes platform configuration and software installation for the mPower server on Tomcat.

This document assumes you have a working knowledge of Tomcat. Contact your NetSol representative for more information.

Java Installation

Beginning with LeasePak 6.2a, mPower is no longer backwards compatible with versions of JDK prior to 1.6 or versions of Tomcat prior to 6.

Download Java (J2SE mp_java SDK). For Linux (including Red Hat), Microsoft Windows, and Oracle Sun Solaris, you can download the software from Sun Microsystem's Developer Resources for Java Technology (Oracle Sun Developer Network) site (java.sun.com). For HP-UX, you can download the software from HP's Java Technology Software site (www.hp.com/java). Follow either Oracle's or HP's instructions for installing the software. No additional configuration is needed.
