LeasePak queue manager DCL commands (job and print queue management), as well as lease/util
utilities,
all require one of the following terminal emulations:
Type | Example |
---|---|
VT1xx | DEC VT100 |
VT2xx | DEC VT200 |
VT3xx | DEC VT300 |
VT4xx | DEC VT400 |
ANSI | SCO ANSO Console |
AT386 | Unix 5.4 Console |
WY60 | Wyse 60 |
XTERM | X Terminals |
MSI recommends terminal emulators capable of displaying 132 columns for best results and prefers the use of VT type terminals.
Set the TERM
environment variable to one of the above terminal types before using LeasePak queue manager DCL commands
or lease/util
utilities. Use echo $TERM
to verify the terminal type.
Sun: on most telnet sessions,
the default terminal emulator is
sun
.
If you need MSI to verify your server platform and configuration, you must allow us to connect to your server. This can be through either a modem or internet connection. For internet connections, we must have access through your firewall (if any).
These are the minimum requirements:

Install either Java/Tomcat or J2EE--not both. Contact your MSI representative for more information.
Browsers must have client-side JavaScript enabled.
These are the requirements for setting up a DocIT Server to work with the mPower application ChannelIT. To set up a client computer to run the dx Generation software as part of the standard LeasePak client, the requirements are the same as for the LeasePak Client.
