Short Name Inquiry [R0906]

The Short Name Inquiry report [R0906] helps a user find lease numbers for an account when only the lessee name (or partial name) is known.

From the Operational report menu [R09] and may be selected for:

• A short name
• A partial short name

An alternate report format may also be selected.Each lease is listed alphabetically by short name.

 

Short Name Inquiry Selection

• LESSEE SHORT NAME
  Enter the short name for which to find associated leases. It must be entered exactly as stored, except the asterisk (*) wildcard may be used to replace several characters, while the percent (%) character matches exactly one character
  
  For example, the following entry would search for all names starting with the fragment "BANK":

  LESSEE SHORT NAME: BANK*

  The following entry would search for all names containing the fragment "BANK":

  LESSEE SHORT NAME: *BANK*

  Note: Using leading wildcards in the LESSEE SHORT NAME field will slow down LeasePak’s response time, since it requires searching the entire database.

 

• USE ALTERNATE FORMAT (Y/N)
  An alternate format for this report is available. N is defaulted to this field, which produces the normal report format.
  
  The alternate format is identical to the normal format as described on the following pages, with the following differences:
  
  
  • The lease ENTITY CODE is printed.
  • The lease DESCRIPTION is printed.
  • The lease’s lessee billing address is not printed.

Short Name Inquiry Report - Normal format

The normal format of the Short Name Inquiry report [R0906] reports at the lease level and provides:

• LESSEE SHORT NAME
  The lease’s lessee short name is displayed.

• LESSEE NAME
  The lease’s lessee long name is displayed.

• ADDRESS 1
  The first line of the lease’s lessee billing address is displayed.

• POR, COM, REG, OFF
  The portfolio, company, region, and office numbers for the lease are displayed.

• LEASE
  The lease number is displayed.

• CUST
  The lease’s customer number, if applicable, is displayed.

• GRP
  The lease’s group number, if applicable, is displayed.

• NORMAL PMT
  The lease’s lessee normal payment amount (monthly income + monthly depreciation) is displayed. If there are several lessees with the same short name, this field may be used to identify the desired lease.
  
  For example, if a lease payment is received with no return invoice information, the name on the check could be used to get the account number. If there are several leases with the same name, the payment amount could then be used to determine the lease to which the payment should be applied.

  The normal payment amount is determined by finding the payment amount in the payment schedule in the position corresponding to the number of payments accrued since the commencement date. If the payment amount in this position is 0, the last nonzero payment before that is reported.

 

Short Name Inquiry Report - Alternate format

The alternate format of the Short Name Inquiry report [R0906] reports at the lease level and provides the same information as the normal format, with the following exceptions:

• DESCRIPTION
  The lease description is displayed.

• ENTI
  The lease entity code is displayed.

• ADDRESS 1
  The first line of the lease’s lessee billing address is not displayed.
  
  
• TOTALS
  Number of leases found matching the short name entered.
